Hey there,

thanks for your reply. I just bought a Macbook Pro, 13'' 2.4 GHz...

The problem is that I was using the Logitech X350 (5.1) speakers before on my Lenovo, and it always worked with the drivers, but right now on my mac only two speakers (and sub woofer) are working...I'm trying to find a way to get all the speakers working. Let me know what u think (Im 24 hour old to a Mac so quiet uneducated about it right now)

Check with Logitech whether your speakers have digital input such as found on speakers designed for DVD players, SPDIF digital input, Toslink digital input, or just 3 channel input. If the latter, you'll need a Griffin Firewave (now discontinued) to get 5.1 audio out of it from a Mac. Otherwise the Mac uses a mini-Toslink connector to connect to any of the aforementioned digital input connectors.

Note, unless the audio file was recorded in more than 2 channels, it will only come out in two speakers.

Thanks for your answer again, I checked it out with the Logitech website and this is the Manual for the speakers. It appears that it has a 3 channel input (but Im not sure) you can check out the diagram here

What do you think I should do in this case?? (as you mentioned that Griffen Firewave is discontinued)

Please clarify, thanks!

The AppleTV if it supports more than 2 channel sound it will only be digital. Apple has never included support for analog 3 or more channel sound. It only has included it on devices with digital theatre surround sound. So plugging them in an analog output port on a TV might be fine if you have multi channel TV programs, but it would have to support the same PC analog soundcard technology.
