I have a file that somehow attached to the foremost part of my screen. I'm new to mac world and have no idea how to get it off. It's on top of all my files, open screens, everything... I can't click on it either. HELP! It's like it is attached to the glass and not to the desktop...:) It sounds weird, but I can't figure out how to get rid of it. Any ideas how to unstick it?

right click on file>delete. See if that works 🙂
What type of file? Picture? Text? What were you doing when the file appeared?

I was trying to move the file, it's just an excell document, to my flash drive and now it's on the screen. I can't click on it, I can't do anything with it, my mouse doesn't click on it it goes under/behind the file. It looks highlighted but doesn't do anything.
Try restarting the machine. This is not a normal thing, but could just be a one-time graphical glitch. If restarting does not fix it, or if it continues to recur, you may have a more serious problem, though what that might be i don't know.
