itunes chopping off end of songs now that i signed up for match

Signed up for itunes match with 2011 imac, latest updates of itunes and lion on mac and latest update on ipad 2.

Noticed during playback on ipad2 that LOTS of songs are cut off at the end...they end 15 - 20 seconds early, abruptly...not sure why?

Please help, thank you in response!

Same issue here with randomly truncated songs playing from the Cloud via AppleTV.


It seems to just chop off the ends (no pattern to it) and then go to the next track...which, as everyone agrees, is very annoying.


Some more details...


Songs are playing perfectly straight from my locally-stored library through iTunes on my mac.


The same locally-stored songs are streaming perfectly from my iPhone or iPad direct to Apple TV.


Only songs streamed through iTunes Match / iCloud are cutting off when played through Apple TV.


It doesn't make a difference (for me) if they're formerly ripped CDs or bought direct from the iTunes store.


DEFINITELY a problem with music streamed from iCloud unfortunately, which, hopefully, will be fixed soon.

I contacted Apple Support about this, they refused to talk to me on the phone about iTunes they said my only option was to go through their "express" site. I told them I'd really rather speak to someone on the phone about it, they repeated my only option is the express site. So I've been in contact with Sagar... Basically all he told me is my problem is on my own network not through iTunes which upsets me as that's no help at all. He didn't even reference iTunes Match at all even though I did multiple times in my e-mail. After not responding, I received a follow up from him asking if my problem was fixed. I told him that no, my problem along with dozens others if they would look on their support forums are still having the exact same issue and it's hard to believe it's all of our networks and nothing to do with iTunes Match...

Don't thinks Apple monitors these. Go to the Apple feedback section for AppleTV and leave message. I did and if they get enough of these maybe they will fix it. Also though about contacting Consumer Reports as they are selling a service that does not perform well. As there are several of these maybe they could do a rating. Apple would not look good!
