"App Store Beijing" Credit Card Fraud

I've searched online to see if anyone else had a recent credit card number stolen for several $100+ purchases from "App Store Beijing"

I'm trying to find out if it's even relevant to the Apple App Store, or if it's just a fake company name.

I recently had several charges to make bank account of $103.20, which I quickly noticed and contacted my bank about the incident... they've currently frozen my account and have sent me a new card.

Not saying that it's tied with the incident, but I find it ironic/amusing that I recently visited a local chinese take-out for the first time just two days prior.

Nah ive never used itunes before in my life.... So this is totally random for me, I did buy somestuff from that cybersale on monday. My bank is waiting too see if the pending transactions even go threw, if they do then they will take action which will take anywhere from 2-3 weeks, so i will be getting rid of this bank soon for this reason. 3 weeks to get my money that i need tmrw for rent is alil rediculous. Wait i use my card for world of warcraft too forgot about that.

About two days ago I had 2 transactions from APP STORE CHNC for 102.67 I had called my bank and they refunded the money because I was going to go in the negative for some transaction that i didn't do and did a fraud report and froze my card and mailing me a new card. I woke up today and checked my account again and i had 2 more charges from APP STORE BEIJING this TIME for 103.26. I would really like to know who is doing this??? during Christmas time when money is already tight in today's economy. I read some comments and people said that it was netflix?? If so I am going to call them and tear them a new one and canceling they will forever lose my business..

If the amount is changing from a pending charge, it's because of the currency exchange rate, as explained by my bank... the initial/pending charge will be one amount, then when it finally goes through (not sure why they couldn't just stop it) then it adjusts accordingly.

My bank finally sent me an affadavit to sign about the fraud.

The only reason why I'm jumping to Netflix as the common ground is because my current card was fairly new (as I previously stated I just had a CC fraud last month with the old card)... since then it's only been tied to a handful of online companies.

Just as a precaution I'm not renewing my service with Netflix.... though I'm not trying to start a boycott or anything. Sure, their streaming selection is pitiful, but there's a few entertaining items to choose from.

I had 3 charges......0.16, a $50 charge and a $20 charge. All the charges took place in the early AM time frame, with the 0.16 charge occuring first than 2 minutes later the other 2 charges. So I have canceled the card. Not sure what was linked to that card....My Itunes account had a different account linked, but have removed it. I recently traveled to Philly, but didnt use that card.

We discovered this morning that my husband's CC was hacked for a 52.xx charge and a separate .16 charge from ITUNES STORE BEIJING. Like others in this thread, we need to wait for the charge to post before we can dispute it.

Although his bank card is connected to his iTunes he rarely, if ever, uses iTunes and he does very little online other than check his email.

I found 6 charges from today when checking for some deposits to my bank account online. Some say the itunes Bejing store and others say the itunes CA store. Total charges were for around $225.00!!!

I called my bank and they canceled my debit card and then I called Itunes. I hope to have this remedied in a couple of days.

Upsetting. I do have a netflix account but am thinking of changing that account too so the *astards can't hack into anything else.

The funny thing is Itunes Customer Service asked me to give them the order numbers associated with the charges, but the charges aren't showing up in my Itunes account. So, not sure how it all happened.

Sigh.

If it is from Apple, you should have received an email receipt for your "purchases." I'm guessing that you have not received an email about these purchases, and it is most likely a faker. And plus, it would be charged under "iTunes Store," not "App Store Beijing." And mine doesn't say "App Store California."

It says "itunes store CA" it also gives a phone number for the Itunes help number, in the debit line on my bank account. same thing with the bejing charge..says "itunes store bejing" and then has an 888 number of some sort right after it. Both numbers connect with itunes.

I have the itunes folks working on this.

No, I didn't get a receipt for the purchase. I think the hacker set up their own account, using my personal information, and that is why it seems legitimate and I didn't get the email because they used their own.
