is the ipad screen made from the Corning Gorilla Glass?
Yes
The guy is an *ss. There is no other product with that name. When you Google iTouch, you get the Apple product. 😎
I dropped my iPhone 5 and the glass screen shattered in a million pieces. I doubt that Gorilla Glass would have sustained so much damage.
Apple dont want corning to list ANY of its devices..
That's why none of them is there...
LOL!!
Get your facts right before you post anything again...
IPHONE IS THE FIRST CONSUMER DEVICE TO USE A GORILLA GLASS.
LOL!!
You conveniently didn't read this part
'Your favorite device may include Gorilla Glass, even if you don’t see it listed. Ask your manufacturer or retailer to learn more.'
You read it but didn't understand it. "MAY" include. My car windshield MAY be made of Gorilla Glass.
I did see that and I looked on the iPhone 5 description and Apple does not say they use Gorilla Gladd for the 5. Please contact the manufacturer and see what they say.
Of course you can read that sentence as "If we don't list your device, it's possible it doesn't use Gorilla Glass."
That really is a "no comment" statement.
"There's still no official word about the iPhone 5S release date, but new reports suggest Apple could be planning to move away from the company's now-standard Gorilla Glass-coated display panel this year."
So no one has been able to quote Apple about using Gorilla Glass for the iPhone 5. Let's see a quote from Apple.
Search the Apple web site. You get, "No results were found. Please try a different search."
Apple has never said they used Gorilla Glass, not even in the original iPhone. Used the same "no comment" statement you just described. In case you haven't noticed Apple is a bit on the secretive side.
iPhone 6 has an ION X Glass. That is crazy.
Why is that crazy? http://www.extremetech.com/computing/190698-apples-iphone-6-is-more-durable-less -breakable-than-galaxy-s5-and-one-m8
You do know that the ION X glass they use is from Corning who makes Gorilla Glass, right?
