Lost Connection with Logitech V270 Bluetooth Mouse

I keep getting a lost connection with my Logitech Bluetooth Mouse. I have changed batteries, reset the connection between the computer and the mouse several times but keep gettinmg the lost connection signal. The connection returns but the interuption is extremely annoying. Any ideas on hoiw to fix the issue? I have updated everything including the BT firmware.

Are any of you using Apple's wireless keyboard in conjunction with the Mouse?

If so, just make sure that the apple keyboard is turned on first before turning on the mouse. That seems to be a little bit of a problem. I have been thinking about this all night and lost sleep over you guys. LOL

Another thing, have you tried, all the resets? PMU? NVRAM? PRAM? Let me know if you have a question in doing so.

We'll get it figured out.

No external keyboard here. Just a PowerBook 15".

I haven't tried any of the resets. I did confirm that my Bluetooth is updated to the newest revision though. I tried to see if there was any software for my mouse for the Mac at all, be it firmware updates or just drivers, but nothing. They just tell you to use the built in Mac facilities.

Any legit chance the resets would help? If so, do you have a link to how to do it?

Thanks for the help.

Resetting PRAM, NVRAM, PMU in Powerbook.

PRAM: Restart computer, hold Command>Option>P>R. Wait for 3-5 chimes then allow the computer to boot normally.

NVRAM: Restart Computer, hold Command>Option>O>F. Machine will boot to a white command line screen. Type reset -nvram, press Enter. Type reset -all press Enter. Type reboot, press enter.

PMU: Shutdown Powerbook, disconnect power adaptor, remove battery, press Power button for 5-10 seconds. Reinstall battery, plug power adaptor in, and restart the machine.

<Of course that doesn't help me in the end since I need Airport, but it would be nice to know what the culprit is nonetheless>

In my post, let me clarify. You will not need to keep Airport turned off, just make sure both are off, then turn Airport on, make sure you are connected, then turn Bluetooth on after Airport is turned on.

I'm just trying to help with the troubleshooting here, and it's hard to do without actually having the same problems, and not being able to duplicate the problems. I'm hoping that something that I posted might help.

Let me know what works and what doesn't work, and we can go from there.

I had the same problem with the v270 with my ibook too, where it was intermittently losing its connection every 30 seconds or 5 minutes. I went back to the store to exchange for another one and it seems to be working well. I read in another forum that it may be certain batches of the v270 that don't work as well. Hope this helps!
I'll update again in a few days after I've used the replacement longer.
