What does this coconut battery report say about our battery?
I don't know if our current battery issues are related to some hard drive issues, so I'll preface by mentioning it. The macbook hard drive had a melt down this past September, completely failed. I paid Apple to install a new one (and to try to recover some of the data). That drive gave us a warning message this week and was replaced last night under warranty by Apple. Last night I spent restoring from TC backups, etc.
During the night, I went into energy settings and noticed a battery warning. My wife hasn't noticed anything wrong with the battery necessarily. I haven't tried to reset it at this point as I'm running some restore/backups, etc. and prefer to wait until it is through.
In the meantime, I downloaded coconutbattery report and it reads:
Current charge: 3807 mah
Maximum charge: 3807 mah
100%
Battery Capacity:
Current: 3807
Design Capacity: 5020 mah
75%
Details:
Macbook 4.1
Age of your mac: 42 months
Battery loadcycles: 612
battery temp: 30.2c
battery power usage: 0.0 Watt
I'm wondering if we really need to replace the battery at this point. I'm not sure what the loadcycles of 612 means...is that good or bad in terms of the amount of time we have left?
Thanks.
