Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
running a dual G4 , connector to amp and speaker. Work fine, yesterday nothing
did nothing to the computer. But I have no digital out to select in output in the sound.
Also when I unplug the jack from the back of the computer my internal speaker is not very load,
volume up all the way.

Hi Martin,
Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.
I doubt it has anything to do with your sound problem just the error you showed above in Console log.
What if I put the tiger cd in and had it do a repair ? would that help?
Certainly worth a try, & If all the above fails, then it appears to be time for a relatively painless Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...

Well did all that and the same think, I now have a clean osx anyway...
I tryied the toothpick thing but that did not work.
So maybe someday it might return on it's own.

Yes, biggest problem is finding one compatible with your Mac & version of OS.

Hello, I have a macbook pro 17, late 2010. my output sound its not working. I have faced this problem again in the past but after plugin in and out the headphones it worked.
Now, i pluged and unpuged the headphones and I also try the restart and the shut down but still no output sound.
please help me solve the problem
