Logic not seeing signal from ADAT converter

I have a SM Audio AD-8 (ADAT Converter) hooked up optically to my Focusrite Saffire 56. I can see and hear the signal coming from the AD-8 in the Saffire Mix Control software window, but cannot get the signal to show up in Logic 9 when I recrod enable a track with the corresponding input, what gives?

Yes, that's correct... I didn't realize you weren't doing a digital tape transfer.. but the same procedure holds.

The Saffire must stync to the ADAT or all kind of problems happen.

Did you read Michael's post correctly, it's important.... he gave you a link to the beta mixcontrol, that's different than the release version.

Also... are you sure the ADAT can't go into 44.1, I think I used the same model you have and I remember it being switchable.

Wow ! It seems to work 🙂😁😎😀😍➕

I'm just testing without any mic plugged into the Saffire or the ADAT.

Saffire is locked on the ADAT clock at 48 kHz. I finally find a way to set the ADAT at 44.1 by turning down the pitch to -147, but there are some strange noise.

I heard the converters need to warm up before use, so I will wait 30 minutes before trying again at 44.1.

So now I'm gonna try with all the mics and keep posting to tell you if it's ok.

In the mean time, THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH !!!!
