i have and ipod and an ipod nano running on 1 computer. the ipod was used 1st and updates all playlist and songs. when i added the ipod nano i just get the 1 playlist assigned to the nano updated. how can i create other playlists for the nano and have them updated when i sync it? i tried everything, but can't get the playlist updated or even put on the nano.
I have two iPods on one iMac - one is my daughters (really don't want her music on mine) and the other is mine (suspect she won't want my music either!) and we manage this by setting up two playlists and dragging our chosen music from the main song list into our own playlists.
With an iPod connected to iTunes go to the iPod options in iTunes and select the option to sync the connected iPod with your chosen playlist only. Connect iPod two and select sync option for the other playlist only.
I'm doing this without having iTunes etc in front of me so my recollection of the steps might be a little out but I don't think that far out.
