Can't get iCloud mail

Hi all 😉,


since some days if I try to access my iCloud mail (@me.com account) via iPhone I get the following error:


Cannot Get Mail: The connection to the server failed.


Please note that when I initially setup iCloud, a couple of months ago, the mail worked fine. And of course now other email accounts work normally.



Any suggestions?

Lenovo ThinkPad, Windows Vista, iTunes 10.5.1.42, various iDevices

Ok boys, i think that too many people have got the same problem. Non my i cloud is working... But just sometimes!!! We should contact the customer service, or just pretend that our thousand little i pad or i phone works well. I also don't understeand why i need a pc to make the most part of the work on this stupid tablet. Ok... Never mind... Something is going to happen

I opened a support case with apple. They determined since I could NOT access my mail box on www.icloud.com without getting an error message and my mailbox was also not working on my phone for my me.com address that it was a mobileme issue and they directed me to mobileme support which only has chat based support. they were complete idiots.


Ultimately the issue is that at some point your password stops syncing between your appleid and your me.com email account and it required an apple ID password reset to fix it. wait 15 minutes and your mailbox will start working again once you update the password.


This is obviously an apple and mobileme issue and I am disgusted to see both companies claim the service is working perfectly. ihave had to reset my apple id password several times now to get my me.com email working again.

This is interesting, but I don't think that it's the same issue that I and others have reported, since I was always able to access my @me.com email account from https://www.icloud.com/. The problem - for me - is only on the iPhone.

I tried the suggestion of resetting my Apple ID password, and so far for the past hour I've been getting all emails and no error messages. Crossing my fingers that this actually fixes my problem. So far my iPhone 4S is able to grab everything and send stuff now 🙂




And it started doing it again at 12:18pm. ARghghghg 😠
