Hey Kirby, what happened? Crops and straightening that you had done previously went away when you loaded one of your libraries? A rebuilt library meaning, just one you had rebuilt before?

Or you had lost the changes when you rebuilt a library previously, but then regained them when you installed the new update?

Sorry, just wondering what exactly happened there. You don't seem too bothered so, maybe not a huge issue?

Thanks

No -- didn't lose any adjustments. Aperture reverted to the bothersome behavior -- introduced in 3.2? -- of changing the aspect ratio when re-straightening an Image to whatever default happened to be close. (Better understood by example: I'd crop using "Do not constrain", do some other adjusting, and then return to the crop tool and only after moving a sizing handle to move one edge and watching the entire rectangle change discover that I was now cropped constrained to, for example, 4x5 or "Master Aspect Ratio".) And I lost the ability to start a crop outside the Image. Frank made the good recommendation of re-installing Aperture, which I simply hadn't gotten around to before 3.2.2 showed up.

I started a topic -- not worth reading now 🙂 . 3.2.2 seems to have given me back what I lost.

OK, software update in Australia is now seeing 3.2.2, be warned though it is 500mb+. Annoying the fact that I have to install this on four machines, used to be that you could save the package and just copy it across.

Just remembered that the updates are available on the downloads pages! This one is not there yet but should not be too long before it is.

I'm still loading Galleries to MM from Aperture.

Will 3.2.2 still allow it ?

I have just published a Mobile Me Gallery using AP 3.2.2. and OS 10.7.2, no probems so far.

Just thinking to delay after Xmas the cleaning of Galleries because I'm afraid it could be not possible after June 2012,

Thanks for your opinion.

Well, I think after June 2012 no further cleaning will be necessary, because your galleries will be gone with the wind ... 😝

If you right-click on the copy of Aperture in your Applications folder and choose Get Info, does it say 3.2.2 or still 3.0.3? If you're launching from the dock, maybe the link is bad.

Also, did you buy Aperture from the Mac App Store? You would do the update through the MAS if you bought it there.

If you own Aperture 3, then you should not have to pay anything for this update.
