What do the Arrows on the document icons mean?

Because Apple has decided that we don't need manuals anymore (Along with the rest of the software producers in the world) I am having to rely on my friends here and on the internet to figure out of the iWork apps work.

I have a couple of documents on my iPhone. I can see them on the Documents page of the Pages app, this isn't the problem. My question is why do the icons have a turned down corner that displays an upwards pointing arrow.

I am guessing that this has something to do with iCloud and the documents being uploaded to the cloud or waiting to be uploaded to the cloud until I get in range of a WiFi connection?

Or is there another meaning that I simply haven't been able to discern yet?

If there is a link to the iPad / iPhone version of the iWorks apps I would appreciate it if you could point me in that direction.

OK I was just being impatient. I connected to a WiFi network and the docs uploaded and appeared in iCloud and the arrows went away on the icons on the Documents page in Pages.

I think that there is a setting that will let me sync over 3G but that seems like a big waste of my data plan.

OK I finally found the help files for Pages on my iPhone. There is a section called "Store Documents in iCloud" and it includes a good description of what I had been asking about.

There is a paragraph that begins: Here are a few things to keep in mind about how iCloud helps you manage your documents across devices:

If you edit and close a document, but you’re not connected to the Internet at the time, an upward-pointing arrow appears in the document’s thumbnail image that indicates the edited document will be uploaded as soon as an Internet connection becomes available.
The edited document is uploaded along with a history ofthe edits you made, so when you open the document on another device, you canundo individual edits, just as if you had made the edits on that device.

And since I don't use my 3G connection to keep my iWork documents synced with iCloud in order to not take a bigger battery life hit I just need to wait until I can connect with a WiFi connection to update my documents.
