my macbook has a wierd problem; it shuts off when i unplug it and whatch youtube for no warning....it just happens when i watch youtube; it last for 20 minutes or less then it shuts off.....any help plz??

A little known fact is that, although you can take your unibody MacBook Pro to Apple for a battery replacement, it is much more cost effective (out of the warranty period), to replace it with a cheaper one from eBay (and its quite an easy DIY repair if you're confident with a screwdriver). As long as it is RoHS certified, it will be OK. I have done battery replacements on MacBook Airs using these cheaper non-Apple batteries and they work fine and the charge is just as good. But I would only recommend this if your MacBook is out of warranty.
And is the machine hot?
I ask because the Mac shuts itself down if it's in danger of overheating, and it could easily get into that situation playing a bunch of YouTube videos if it's fan or fans aren't working.
If it's not hot and not plugged into AC power, then I suspect its battery may be shot. What does System Profiler > Power have to say about the battery's condition, cycle count, and full charge capacity?
I think the reason is because of my max runs hot after a while... Because I was trying to pay attention to it and I found that it keeps running good till it gets hot then it shut off ... What should I do for the next step? Thank u guys
Sometimes a failing battery will give sudden shutdowns. You can check the condition this way.
Go to the Apple menu and select About This Mac, then click More Info. In the Apple System profiler under the Hardware portion go to Power and under Battery look at Condition. Good reflects a healthy battery where as a Check Battery means the battery is either defective or is unable to hold anymore charge.
Please post back with the three battery statistics I requested above. Dalstott has explained where to find them.
I recommend that you run the Apple Hardware Test that you'll find on one of the DVDs that were originally shipped with your MBP. Post here the exact text of any error messages that it reports.

Does the machine become quite hot before this happens? Do you hear the fan(s) running at high speed?

Honestly, it is always quite, i have not heard any noise from it!!
the mac is just warm, normally!!!....I am using it now for 30 minutes fine...but idk when it will turn off
btw, when it turns off, it turns off while it is unpluged!!
I have a question regarding the battery "good" thing. I was curious and went to the Apple menu and did the steps, and instead of "good," it said "normal." Is this okay? 😕
