iMac 21.5" 2.5ghz vs 2.8ghz

Question

iMac 21.5" 2.5ghz vs 2.8ghz

I currently have a Power Mac Dual 867 mhz, Mac OS X (10.5.8). I want to upgrade to a 21.5" iMac. If I understand things correctly, the difference in price between the two (2.5ghz vs 2.8ghz) is $500.00. Is the $500.00 justified? In my opinion, the entry level iMac is far superior to what I currently use and "investing" the extra $500.00 is not going to give me that much more, Or is it?

When I got my mid-2011 21.5" iMac, I went with the 2.7Ghz (not 2.8Ghz) model, mainly because it has upgraded graphics ... same as the lower 27" model. I agree with you, for just the 2.5 to 2.7Ghz delta, I wouldn't have upgraded for that. However, since the graphics aren't upgradable, that, to me, was reason to get the 2.7Ghz version.

I ended up finding a reforbished 2.8ghz iMac which was $150.00 less so I bought that.
