How to Set up USB Headset and Hands-Free Phone

I have a Cyber Acoustics USB AC-840 headset. Does anyone know how to test to see if it works? I plugged it into my router. I also have speakers plugged into my computer so I don't know if that overrides the "sound' settings.

If someone could please explain how to use the headset on a mac pro I would appreciate it.

Also I need to get an inexpensive hands free phone to use at home. Does anyone know anything about how they work and where to get one.
