How Do I Delete Songs From My iPhone, That Have Been Downloaded Via iTunes Match?

Everytime I play a song on my iPhone via iTunes Match, the song itself gets downloaded to the phone's actual hard drive.

I have played enough songs, that the majority of my iPhone's memory is taken up.

How do I do a clean wipe of all the downloaded songs (without having to delete indiviual songs), to make room for more songs to listen to?

If their is a way, will it effect my iTunes Match? It took days to sync my library up and it's the last thing I would want to do again.

Thanks in advance,

For me, swipe to delete music ONLY works if I am deleting a folder that has playlists inside it. Which is not very useful. I just wanted to confirm that I SHOULD be able to delete any song on the device by simply swiping regardless of where it is—in a playlist, while browsing songs directly, in search results, or in a playlist.

I have iTunes Match turned on and I have tried it with "show all songs" turned on and off and it does not let me swipe to delete any indavidual songs (it simply starts playing them after the swipe gesture).

Edit: The only way I have found so far to manage iTunes Match music is to turn iTunes Match off, plug the phone into the computer, select what music I want to sync, and re-sync ALL my music.
