Every few days my iPhone's Safari app preferences reset themselves to Never Accept Cookies, which keeps me from being able to log into my secure sites. I am not part of a corporate mail exchange program. I am just a person with an iPhone who wants to use Safari to accept cookies from sites I've visited. Can you help me get this glitch fixed?

I am having the same issue with this resetting and can't find any information on it. Have you tried apple support?
Thanks for letting me know you're having the same trouble. My iPhone search function stops working every few days, too. I'm not familiar with Apple support. But I'm going to make a trip to the Genius bar pretty soon if no one has a clue about this issue. Let me know if you get it sorted.
I've been having this issue on my iPhone 4 ever since I upgraded to iOS 5. Worst of all, you don't get an error message telling you that cookies are disabled. I knew that I had already enabled cookies to be accepted from site I had visited so it was the last thing I checked when trying to troubleshoot this VERY annoying problem. I hope it is fixed in the next iOS update.
I am also experiencing this on my iPhone 4 on iOS 5. A web app told me last week that I needed to enable cookies in my browser. I thought the app was broken, because I have never disabled cookies in Safari. Come to find out, it was right - so I enabled them. This week I couldn't log in to another website, and found cookies were disabled again.
Same issue. It is preventing logins on web sites that require cookies to be set to log in. How do we escalate this?
Is your iPhone set up with an Exchange account from your employer? In this case, your employer may have deployed an iPhone profile that restricts the phone from accepting cookies.
No, as I mentioned in the first posting, I'm not part of a coporate exchange account, so no employer is restricting cookie permissions. Thanks for helping - any other solutions?
My iPhone does have an Exchange account from work, but I really doubt our network admin has set any kind of iPhone profile (he's a BlackBerry guy). How would I check for that, in Exchange System Manager somewhere? I'm a sysadmin so I have the ability to go in and view group policy, etc.
I noticed the cookie setting seems to change sometimes after doing a wifi sync with iTunes. Just to be sure, I checked the cookie settings in Safari on my Mac and they didn't match, so I don't think there's an overwrite happening there.
Very strange. Usually my Apple products "just work", but in this case it's an oddity.
Hey, you might be right about the iPhone safari cookie settings being reset to "Never" after a wifi sync. That does seem to be the timing of my resets, too. And like you, my laptop's Safari cookies are set to "From Visited", so why the iPhone Safari cookies would reset to "Never" every time is a mystery yet unsolved.
I have had the same problem although at the moment the cookies setting is holding at "Always." I just did a wired ITunes sync and it held the setting through the synch.
I have the same problem however I don't use iTunes wifi sync. I do have an Exchange account setup, if someone could advise how to check for and iPhone policy on Exchange I can do that. I also use iCloud for backup.
Same problem on my iPhone 3GS. Updated to 5.0 and then 5.0.1 and cookies always swtich back to "never". I don't sync with WiFi. Although, I do still MobileMe wirelessly and sync via iTunes for music, podcasts, txt and phone logs.
I don't know if this fixed it, but I turned off iCloud syncing for Safari and haven't had the problem since.
By "iCould syncing for Safari" do you meen Settings->iCloud->Bookmarks or something else?
Yes, that's the one I turned off and might have done the trick.
