I don't notice this problem until Dec 14... Which I see is when this thread started. I updated to a new version of iTunes that day and my phone synced to that.. Could there be a connection there, I wonder.
Anyway, this morning my phone tells me I'm in Bonny Scotland, which is where I also believe I am... :-)
As a wee by the by.... I notice Siri has started to also know that the time in Scotland is the same as the time in England... When I first got my 4S about a month ago I asked Siri what the time was and he said, "I'm sorry, I don't know what the time is in Scotland..." probably no connection at all, but I do wonder if the Beta Siri is part of the issue..
Finally there is much posted elsewhere on the Internet about battery drain being caused by issues with the 'setting time zone' setting. This setting was new to me ( settings>location services>system services) I see it seems to be at work all the time, when it really only needs to do anything when I move to another time zone... This is apparently a known bug and the cause of immense battery drain for many... Locations problems too, I wonder?
Anyway... It's all speculation on my part and more of an energy drain than just looking at my wristwatch and relying on my innate skill with regard to knowing where I am currently located ! :-) I do notice in the above 'system services' however that there has been a compass calibration since my departure from Belarus (virtually, that is) and my waking up this morning in the Highlands...
I think I'll stop speculating and have another cup of tea.....
