App download buttons not working.

iPhone 3GS.

Whenever I go into a specific app in the app store, none of the buttons work properly.

1) clicking on the price no longer downloads the app,

2) the ratings button does nothing,

3) the 'tell a friend' and 'git this app' buttons jump back to the top of the app window,

4) pictures usually don't show up. They usually appear as five gray rectangular boxes with white borders (though in one app one too-large-for-the-window picture shows up (see pic),

5) the 'app support' button still goes to the developer's website.

6) the 'top in-app purchases' banner is just text now.

Has anyone experienced this?

Don't know what you mean "not feasible for a long time" I'm doing it now.

While I'm not happy about this problem, and will be very unhappy if Apple does not fix it, the original iPhone has always been a slave to the USB cable. All I'm concerned about is that the phone retains the same functionality it had when I purchased it. Apple has already rescinded synchronization services i had with MobileMe, but if they completely restrict the way I get apps into my phone, that's another matter.

I think we all forget that the original iPhone could only run web-apps. That may be the future for the original iPhone, even if the app store functionality is restored, as many apps I have tried to download recently require a minimum of iOS 4. As developers stop supporting iOS 3 with their updates, the original iPhone and 3G will slowly lose their functionality.

iPhone 3gs

mac device for OS sync - unavailable

-genius stopped working

-genius started working

-info page back button disappeared for a long time

-back button fixed

-genius stopped working the info back button started working again

- buy button changes color and shape

- info page full graphic splash sizing wrong

- no horizontal scroll of splash

- can update apps

- can't buy apps...

- AppStore GUI code mistakes?

- or does the production manager @AppStore GUI even try

the updates on a 2 yr old device- before releases?

As it stands, is iOS 3.1.3 no longer compatible with the Appstore

or is it that Apple does not support this iOS or what?

Regardless of my update woes...if you don't, can't, or won't

support it ...just say so.. publicly. Excuse my tone- gets tiring

telling someone how to pack a bag of groceries- over and over...

yup im running iOS3.1.3 on a iphone 3G & when i click the download butting, it kinda crashes & partially disapears.....been doing that for a week now I think or more..... im presuming its the usual "encouragement" apple do to get people to buy a new iphone every 9 months...

nice to see there ignoring the thing like usual & hoping the media dont find out & give them more bad press....as there such a "friendly helpful" company lol....
