Bottom speaker metal mesh is a little bent in...

Ok. stupid question time. I just got my first iPhone, the iPhone 4S about a month ago, and it is only today that I found that the bottom speakers' metal mesh is a little bent/curved in at the center. It's not that obvious, but I do see a little bit of gap at the side of the mesh because it is curved/bent in.

My question is this, would it affect the speaker and microphone quality in anyway, and will the dust get in easily? As a first time iPhone user, I'm a little bit paranoid. >.<

Unlikely it affects the speaker and since the mesh already has a bunch of holes in it, it's no more likely to get dust than without the bent portion. I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks! I guess I'm just a bit paranoid. I kept feeling my phone's volume was softer today (I still do, weird), and that's why I went to check on the speaker/mic area in detail.

I wonder if I was the one who caused it to bent/curved in or it was like this when I brought it. I have 2 years of Apple Protection Plan, so I was wondering if I should go to Apple Support and have them take a look at it. Hmmm.
