I would suggest a USB converter to HDMI and HDMI cabler for the HD
an aUSB Converter to SCART plus a scart cable for the old one
B# of course!
haha sorry I had to.
there are a couple methods here that I'll discuss
one is we don't know which MBP you're speaking of so there are a couple different cords you can get.
but depending on if you have one that is not a unibody, then you will just need to get a DVI to hdmi cord. for the tv, I'm not sure but you would have to look in something that converts that signal.
If you have a new MBP (unibody) then you are looking for a minidisplay port to HDMI
again your analog tv will be harder to connect. For this I would suggest an appleTV if you must still use the old one.
The unit is small enough that switching to your newer tv shouldn't be an issue.
of course we need to know what MBP you have before we can really answer your question.
Thanx
Is this on the apple site
If it is culd u pls send me a link
sorry but wat is an mbp?

how do i know which is for the new HD tv and the old analog tv
will these b compatible in australia cos that is where i am
compatible in australia, mate! 😉
thx and btw they are all different so how do i know which one to get for the analog tv and the hd tv
There are no direct connections that you could get for your old TV (assuming there are no VGA/PC/HDMI inputs in it)
but for your new tv you would get this http://store.apple.com/us/product/H4637ZM/A or if you already have an HDMI cord you would get this: http://store.apple.com/us/product/H1824ZM/A/Moshi_Mini_DisplayPort_to_HDMI_Adapt er
as for your older tv you'll have to find something that converts VGA to analog RCA and then get this http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB572Z/A . This connection is not fully supported. I rememered trying to do this in the past and didn't like the results. It was hard to find a reliable cable for vga to RCA conversion. You might be out of luck with that. Your best bet is to get a device that supports wirelessly sending a signal to your tv such as the older apple TV's with RCA support.
thanks so much but isnt there a chord i can get to connect to my old tv
the chord that has the red, yellow and white which goes into the tv?
RCA, as I've stated, is what you are looking for, which is an analog signal. As you know the "industry" is doing away with analog for strictly digital. There is currently no solution I can think of other then what i've told you that would support an analog RCA (yellow red white cords) from your MBP. You'll need to get the mDP to VGA and then the VGA to RCA (again, the yellow red white cords). I've had difficulty with doing this in the past and ended up getting a better TV (which you already have). And while we're on the subject, VGA is strictly Video (Video Graphics Array) so it would only be the Yellow cord that you need (any one cord that looks like these cords, no matter the color, will work on any color connection). so for instance you may see one that is only black or white coming out of a VGA connection. That will still work, you just plug that into the yellow port in the back of the TV.
The coloring is just for setting up, with Red and white being the stereo channels (red for right channel) and the yellow as stated is for video. But it only matters what the colors are on the device (the female inputs) it doesn't matter what color the cords are, only that they connect with an RCA or analog male connector.
k thx so much
