I never answer any call from any number I do not know, period. So whether it was forwarded or not really never matters to me. Been doing that ever since caller ID first became available. If they are legit, they will leave a message. If not, the number immediately goes into contacts with an silent ringtone assigned so I'm never bothered by them again.
I also use Google Voice as my primary phone number(s), and use its SPAM filtering to block numbers from spammers or anyone who calles me and does not leave a message.
I've never had the "call forwarded" alert feature on over a dozen makes and models of cell phones and 6 carriers in the past 1.5+ decades, so, to me, it is a non-issue. if it is of value to you, then submit feedback to apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
