Why can't I sync music into my iPod? I added the music into the iTunes, and when i pressed 'sync', nothing happens, i.e. the music just can't go into the iPod. Also, when i remove songs from the iTunes, the iPod keeps them when i sync it. what's wrong?
Plug I'm your iPod and open iTunes. Open your iPod device tab in the sidebar, then choose 'Music' at the top of the screen. Make sure a checkbox like 'Sync All Music' is selected (will vary depending on iTunes version), and try the sync again.
well, it already is selected, and it still doesn't work

That is very odd. If you have a lot of music to transfer or a lot of things on your iPod already, though, there is a chance your iPod doesn't have enough space. However, iTunes would usually notify you if this is the problem. Does iTunes give you a message when you try to sinc, or do you simply press 'Sync' and literally NOTHING at all happens. Also, does iTunes say something like 'Sync is complete' or 'OK to remove device' after you have clicked the button?
well, my iPod is 64 gb and it says it still has 36.X gb left, so i don't think it's the problem of not enough memory. it is that i press sync, it says 'preparing for sync', then 'sync is complete', and it turned out that nothing happened.
Okay, so space and memory isn't a problem. iTunes does not see a problem with the sync, otherwise it would give you a warning message. Since it doesn't register any issue, the problem might be that you haven't actually selected anything to sync. Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes. Select your device in the left sidebar. Select the 'Music' tab at the top, and check the box that says 'Sync All Music'. You can do this with the other media tabs too. Click 'Apply' at the bottom right, and then try your sync again.

Which iPod are you using? So, you already have music on the device that has been transferred from a previous sync?
iPod touch 4th gen. using 4.3.1. would it be the problem of the iOS too old?
yes, i already have music transferred before, and i added a few songs into the iTunes and these newly added songs couldn't sync with the iPod.
i suddenly found that it's not only music, but also the apps. when i downloaded an app in the iTunes and press sync, the app also couldn't get into the iPod. But when i download an app with the iPod, and when i press sync, the app CAN get into the iTunes. it seems like things can 'get out' from the iPod, but not getting in.
it can be due to authorisation issues,
make sure your iPod is authorised with this iTunes library and then try syncing again.
also for trial, instead of manually adding or syncing songs directly freom albums, try to autofill from your library or any playlist and check. Autofill resides in the lower left corner of your music section.

go to iTunes, in the menu go to store, you will see an option of 'Authorize this computer' on the drop down. Select that and then try to sync music and apps again
also check manually manage music and videos and then try dragging them from your computer.

ok, now it's finally ok by using manually adding songs. thx for the help from both of you, i really appreciate that. but there's one more question, why can these songs be added by manually adding, but not normal 'sync-ing'?

what does it say when you try to add apps. Can u attach any screen shot or anything.
For the time being, drag the apps that you have in your apps section in your iTunes library and drop them over your iPod area in iTunes.
have you authorised your computer for this iPod yet.
