Now that LR4.1 has been out, and Scott Bourne essentially called Apple to task, here's my list of "must have's"

  • Lens correction
  • Selective WB Adjustment (i.e. add this as an adjustment brush)
  • Gradient filter (including neutral density, colored)
  • Highlights/Shadows/Whites/Blacks sliders - i.e. similar process version to LR4
  • Perhaps more book options.

James Oliver's poste of the Amazon UK site is quite encouraging, in that there appears to be two books coming out.

I want Aperture to be the photo manager it was meant to be, meaning all photo corrects are off loaded by plugin, or photoshop.

On that I agree, but I would like to have a better plug-in / external editor interface, that does not interrupt the lossless workflow. True Aperture plug-ins would allow reversible edits and not require additional quasi-masters.

Just loaded the Aperture update 3.3 and want to comment on the new Set Desktop feature. While I am glad they finally added it, it took too long to actually find it so I went to Help. It is located under File>Share. Its not in the obvious place - the toolbar Share dropdown. I bet they overlooked adding it there. Perhaps for the next update Apple can fix that.
