the same thing happened to me, but, i decided to pull a "no brainer" and thought: would it reappear on my iPhone if i just resynced everything manually? It worked(:

How to manually sync music to your apple prodoct is very easy. Make sure you have "sync only checked songs and videos" not marked in the apple products summary, then your able to download free music from other itunes accounts by just simply clicking and dragging(but if you have an iPhone, apple has this product set up to NOT do that sadly...) it to the music box undeneath your apple icon.

Go to your itunes ilbrary, highlight the first song in your library, hold "Shift"and the down arrow key until your at the very bottome of the itunes ilbrary. All of your music is now high lighted and should be blue. hold down the left key on your mouse, and simply drag the music to your apple product, then your music should begin to sync back to your apple product(:

Hope I've helped some!

I hope someone can help. After updating my iPad 2 and my iPhone to the latest I have lost all my music on my iPhone. On top of that I can't get access to my email on my iPad unless I am connected to a wifi. I have my own carrier but it won't respond. What should I do?I also have the iCloud now? Do I have to pay for this. It is normal to get the iCloud when u update to the latest software? Tks

I also Lost ALL my Library.I have a PC. I dont get on it every day but when I do get on it, I do get on itunes and purchase music or just listen to new songs. Well about 2 weeks ago I logged on to itunes and my ENTIRE Library was GONE. NO Music, Videos, Notes, or Movies.........everything WIPED!!! I Thought maybe someone hacked my account. (Still wondering on that one).

But anyhow I tried to syn my Iphone 4 to my PC, because I bought new music to find out that my Iphone 4 is not syn to this PC. when it should be this is the only PC, I do have and now its telling me their not syn and to delete ALL my old music I had on my PC, that is now WIPED!!

Does anyone know ANYTHING, How to fix this problem? PLEASE, HELP!!! I WANT MY Library Back!!

Is your user folder gone too?

10.7.4 is doing weird stuff.

I have external drives, and with 7.4, unplug one (eject) and the whole disc management system fails. As in, other discs disappear, and then my MBP starts freezing one thing at a time.

This should normally not be an answer - BUT - Plug everything in the way it was the last time your setup functioned. Restart. Check to see if you have a User Folder with all of your stuff in it. Yes - Repair Permissions. WAIT for apple to fix 10.7.4 - there are about 20,000 posts on the first few pages of just this OS section, so I imagine something major in the fixing department is coming soon.

BTW - I had to do the above earlier, because my User folder was empty, but said 0 files using 279 GB

If your music is gone from your iphone/ipad, it should be super easy to restore. Plug your phone in, go onto Itunes obviously. Then click on "Music" under "My devices." Where your music list is normally displayed, it will be empty. So go to the bottom of the screen where your music normally is and click on "Autofill From:" and choose "purchased." On the far right side, click "Autofill" and all of your music should start uploading back onto your device. It worked for me and took less than 2 minutes. Good luck!
