Can anyone help to help me find out why my Aperture is so slow now, feels like I am back on a PC!
I always get the little loading icon up all the time, even when scrolling between photos in split view, it is so annoying, it never used to be like this!
In the last couple of days it has started crashing on me, or I have had to force quit it!
Is it because of installing lion? Seemed to be fine before this

99% of the time it seems that when RAM adequacy, hard drives underfulledness :), OS versions, app versions and Permissions repair are righteous everything seems to just work.

Since turning the photostream off, Aperture has been fine, looks like that was the culprit in this instance
How easy is it to upgrade your RAM in a Mac? I have done it in a pc many times, but not with my Mac, I expect I will have to pay a premium for it😀
On a gauge that runs from "Sneezing" to "Brain surgery" it's barely above the limiter pin on the left side.
Go to Crucial or OWC and find the right memory and videos on installation.
Not kidding: if you can use a screwdriver you can replace your memory. Make sure you have the necessary tools (not everyone has -- or needs -- a Torx #6 in their pencil drawer.)

😉 o.k., that's why I couldn't find any support pages on how to do it on an iMac...
I put the links here because of the general hints - how to hold the memory card without touching the contacts, conect from the power supply and so on. It is very easy to damage the memory card.
