Mail - meaning of icons

Is there any place where I can get definitions of icons that appeart in the UI of Mail.app?

In particular, right now, I have just set up Mail with several accounts, and two of them, in the mailbox list on the left, have a sideways zig-zag icon where the others have the number of messages. Does that mean that retrieval is ongoing, or what?
