Need Help On a Brother HL-2240

I have an Hl-2240 Monochrome Laser printer attached to my iMac but I need to print from my MacBook Pro. I downloaded and installed the driver from Brother but when I try to add this printer in Print and fax it won't recognize it. I type the model in the search box but nothing happens. Everything is grayed out. I have printer sharing turned on at the iMac and I turned the printer on but no results at all.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Was the problem you had with a failure with Airport Express to recognize the Brother HL-2230? I will try your suggestion. I wil look for 2230 in both Brother's Web site and in my printer library.

It is the same Driver, 413A Per Brother's Web Site.

Just try a driver from the same generation and for a model, which uses the same chip, it should work.

If not, Gutenprint.
