can I safely remove APSDaemon.exe since I never sync wirelessly?

I understand ASPDaemon is related to "wireless syncing for cloud" technolgy. Since never sync wirelessly, would it damage my version of iTunes if I removed this .exe file? When it runs it ***** up 100% of my CPU and affects all other processes. This seems like a feature that should be a choice to those who do want to use the cloud technology. Thanks for any assistance. After the latest update failed to fix this issue, I decided to take more drastic action. Since I don't use the wifi sync option, I decided to prevent the process from running. Rather than delete the file, I tried something easily reversible by changing the name. I went to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support", found APSDaemon.exe, and changed the filename to APSDaemonX.exe.

Now APSDaemon never runs, and there have been no errors or other ill effects from iTunes so far. I expect I'll have to repeat this procedure every time I install an iTunes update if the problem hasn't been fixed.
