Oh Please don't yell ! (Capital letters = Yelling in forums - usually - and here too)

I think Your Camera is close to my TRV-900E - and this can only connect via FireWire to load over video to iMovie or FinalCut.

USB/USB2 can only deliver photos taken with the Camera and stored on the memory card

So You need a FireWire Cable and 4-pin end to Camera and 9-Pin (or 6-pin on old Macs) to Mac.

(Do not use a 6-pin to 9-pin adaptor - they works BADLY )

• Camera needs to be connected to mains-adaptor (not only battery)

• Set it in Play-mode (VTR on mine)

• Cheque Menu on Camera so it's set to DV-out

• Now You should be able to control camera from iMovie Import menu/window
