caps lock with number not working for main password

Change your input. For example, I use AZERTY french keyboard. If I use the standar French Input Cap. Lock will not work to lock the numbers. So I chose another input that is French Numeric which locks the numbers as I understood you want to do.

Another point. Does the same thing happen when you log out/log in, or just the first time you log in after restart?

If you used the Shift key to originally enter your password with the number keys the Caps Lock key does NOT do the same thing as Shift for the number keys.

As you see the Caps Lock only works for typing LETTERS Not Numbers or any other symbol found on the keyboard.

To be able to use all the upper case symbols you need to use the Shift key.><?":{}+_)(*&^%$#@!~

I think you just have to hold it down a little longer than the other keys. This is to prevent accidental pressing of caps lock.
