Hook up a projector

Treat the projector as a normal display.

In the system preferences, make sure that you have clicked 'detect displays'.

This should ensure the Optoma Projector recognizes it.

Try setting the projector as the primary display, and alternate.

The resolution may need to be edited on the Macbook to ensure that the projector is capable of displaying it. 🙂

I do the same with an external monitor and if the resolution is to high, the monitor cannot recognize the Macbook.

Have Mid2012 MBP haveing trouble connecting to external display. Seems sometimes it will work and sometimes it doesn;t. Not reliable at all. I have spoken with Apple Care and submitted a Data Tracer file from my machine. Waiting to hear back.
