HOW TO SYNC YOUR RINGTONES TO THE iPHONE

I can make ringtone. I can add to tone option of iTunes. But when I drag from tone to my phone nothing happens. I can't see ringtone. Help me from here. I am just unable to drag ringtone from tone ( bell icon ) to my iPhone.

Did you try what you are proposing? It doesn't work my friend. Your wonderful download manager gets downloaded, then when you try to drag and drop, it asks you to download the same stupid app again. What a waste of time! Don't post things on here unless you know what you're talking about.

I have gone to Edit, Preferences, general and there is no Tone box to check. I have tried this under iTunes preferences and under Apple preferences, general, and under Safari preferences, general. None have a Tone box to check.

This is why I hate iTunes. Nothing is ever simple, user-friendly, or intuitive. If the file type is correct, I should be able to just drag and drop a file or a folder full of files from the PC to the phone. They make it easy to get things onto the phone by buying them, but, transfer them from your PC? No, that has to be painful.

Okay, so, I figured out how to copy them over (although I'd still like to be able to organize ringtones on the phone into folders). I connected the phone to the computer, after which iTunes started. I clicked the Device icon in iTunes, to select the phone, and then clicked on Tones under "On My Device" in the left-hand menu.

I then opened an Explorer window on the PC, containing some ringtones (.m4r files), selected some, and dragged them into the Tones area in iTunes. At first they indicted they would only be linked, but then copied over to the phone.

I feel like this is using the old version of iTunes because this is really not working for me. For the computer I use, it changes it into the actual default app which is Groove Music, and even though I change it to iTunes. It still doesn't work. I also try playing it using iTunes, but it never works

i'm using the app "Ringtones for iPhone 2017 free"

I"m trying to upload the four items i downloaded to my phone but they keep going to the music and not the tones. I want to use them for ring tones but can't get them to go to the correct folder on itunes. Can any one assist?

This no longer works. Due to apple getting rid of the tone section in iTunes. I just upgraded my phone and can no longer use my tones. There are so many apps in the App Store but they require the tone section. Anyone have a different way to do so. I would greatly appreciate it

Doesn't work for me.

When I try to drag my created ringtone from music library to library with a "bell" (where my bought ringones are) under my phone, the hole group with librarays are ligthed up (music, film, podcast, Ringtones...). And when i release the ringtonde file it only shows up in music librarary, not in the ringtoned library. When looking at file info it looks the same as the bought ringtone (except i can't edit all info in the bought one). I have tried with to version 38 seconds and 20 seconds with the same result (the bought one is 30 seconds), it will not showup in the Ringtones libraray.

To me it seems Apple has blocked the function to create your own ringstones to force people to buy them instead...

Need help please.

(I have a Swedish version where for example Ringtones acutally is named "Signaler", iTunes version 10.5.3.3)

I've been able to get the ringtones in to the Device > Tones folder (both under Library and under Device) and in iTunes I can see them there and play them. However, when I go in to the iPhone (3G S) and look in Ringtones, they are not there. Once I close iTunes and open it again, the ringtones are no longer in the Library > Tones folder, and needless to say, not showing up in the Tones folder of the iPhone.

OK, corrections to my above post. I didn't save the files correctly when renaming them, as they were still MPEG files. However, once I did correctly get them converted to .M4R file types I ran in to another problem. I can drag them from my desktop in to the Tones folder under the Library, but if I drag them in to the Tones folder under Device, they appear gray and will not play in iTunes, nor do they show up on my iPhone. If I try and drag them from the Library > Tones folder to Device > Tones folder, it initially shows 5 files as if they will copy over, but once I let go of the mouse button I get nothing. And what is with the original post " ...scroll down to file sharing"? I can't find that anywhere.

This is so friggin' frustrating, I'm about ready to give this iPhone back....
