I believe the most awaited iOS update ever, iOS 5.0.2, will release this week (probably Wednesday). As of iTunes (photo below), it will check for an update on 1/11/12. I hope this will fix the battery problem in the iPhone 4S.

iOS 5.0.2 was supposed to release on the week of 20 November, 2011 and many posted about it but they were all wrong as well as devastated about it. After more than a month of "delay," I'm very sure it'll release this week.

Yet more incorrect speculation!
iTunes regularly checks for software updates, mine states it will check again on the 13th!!! That is not to say there will be an update as others have stated and you are giving misleading and speculative information.
Waiting for the update from Apple .. NP .. if it take time.. but it should be a permenent battery fix ...
