Dumb Question About RMA

Today I received the box to send my Ipod back in for repair. However a seal around the box says "Do Not Break Seal Unless Using Parts". What does that mean? I assume they mean unless using a knife and it is OK to break the seal?

Second, the box was at my doorstep, no idea who dropped it off or who I'm suppose to ship it back with. I hope there are better instructions inside the box.
