Ralph, come on. You know what the question is, and the answer isn't 'make a new one.' This is a simple operation that has been blocked by Apple to inhibit customer feedback and interaction. I'm so over seeing this deferrence or pathetic "Oh, well" Eeyoresque response from people in these forums. No wonder Apple consumers are considered sheep.

Changing a username is not a difficult function. It can be implemented immediately, and should have been an option since this began. There is no reason (except for what I've already stated) for it to not exist. These 'user support' forums are redundant. I can't let my company use products that render users ineffectual any longer.

My username can remain here as a reminder that not everyone is oblivious.

I submitted an inquiry to both "Website Feedback" (http://www.apple.com/contact/feedback.html) & Product Feedback > iCloud (http://www.apple.com/feedback/.)

I recommend anyone else with this request do the same.

In my case, I work at a university where I solve faculty, staff, and student issues with various products. With a descriptive username across discussion boards, they could search and find me and my previous postings throughout various discussion forums to reference issues I've already came across.

Hi,

You have linked back to a post in this thread dated in June 2012 made by richardfromrocky river who seemed to be complaining about the truthful answer that Niel gave that the Posting Name (alias) cannot be changed.

I am struggling to understand what you think richardfromrocky river has done and why you are commentating about two years later.

Niel is the poster here with the most amount of points and has been at Level 10 for some time.

He hardly needs defending from someone who didn't like the answer.
