I have just downloaded Numbers for IPad2. Now I'm trying to open a Mac Excel file in Numbers but it says it's an unsupported version. Has anyone experienced and resolved this problem? My version of Excel is 2008.

If you're trying to open this Excel file on the iPad, you may be better off asking in the iPad iWork discussion area, the one for the iOS apps.

have you tried save the document down as an earlier version? I cannot test Mac Excel 2008 as I am at the office with Windows Excel 2007, and I know those work fine.
