How do you type symbols on the iphone 4? Like when your texting.Ive seen money, smileys, town buliding and etc.

Touch and hold one key and other symbols will apper. If you touch and hold the dollar sign "$", you get other currency symbols. 🙂

The "emoji" switch allows you to insert emoticon in your messages.
You can't do it wihout using an app. There's tons more available at the App Store.
