Deleting Photos from Camera Roll

How do I delete photos from camera roll after transferring them to an album. The only choice is delete everywhere, which is not what I want to do.

If you have iOS 7, you can use Image Capture on your Mac to delete photos from the iPhone without importing them:

• Plug the iPhone to your Mac with the iPhone cable;

• Quit iPhoto if it launches automatically;

• Launch Image Capture;

• Select the photos you want to delete;

• Click the red icon to delete the photos from Camera Roll.

This is the best way (using Image Capture) to delete all photos in the camera roll. Sometimes it is the only way because when the iPhone gets almost full the delete all after importing" in iPhoto does not work. Sometimes if there is near zero space available you even have to delete a bunch of photos or apps just to get Image Capture to recognize the iPhone (even if iTunes still does).

Using iOS 7.1 on iPhone 5.

1. Select "Moments" on the Photo App. You will then see the photos divided into dates and where taken. Next to each heading, you will see a Share link ... don't press this yet!!

2. Press the Select link at the very top right-hand corner of the app. You will notice that the Share links change to Select links.

3. Choose which Moments are to be deleted ... this will select every photo in that Moment.

4. Click the bin icon at the bottom of the screen.

After a confirmation prompt, many pictures are deleted at once! 🙂
