Then you are SOL (Sadly Out of Luck). The only way to reboot is to hold both buttons, or Restore the phone using iTunes. And that also usually requires holding the HOME button.

This is the second time my phone has died. The first time this fix worked like a charm. Now it doesn't work at all. I tried using different cables, different outlets, plugging into my computer and trying the fix each time. Nothing seems to be working. Any suggestions?

Happened to me today for the first time. Needless to say panic set in when thinking I may have to take a trip to the Verizon store.
