Retailer in Jalisco, Mexico

Hi Kitzia, my name is Carla and I live in Tapachula, Chiapas. If you go to Products&Services in Apple Latinoamerica you can find every retailer's address and phone numbers.
I have the same problem as you with retailers.
Recently I've experiencing problems with my battery and I had to buy a new one. But in your case, perhaps they can replace yours if you have the original warranty.
My computer is brand new, I adquired it in december 2005 and the warranty is still valid. Since I bought it, I've been running all the updates recomended. One of them was the "battery update" to optimize its performance, but instead of having better results I started having problems!!! So I called my retailer in Mexico City, they were very polite and, as they are also distributors, it was very easy for me to buy a new one.
They are located in Polanco.
My advice is to try to contact an authorized retailer because if they don't have a replacement they can import it. Also, they have very good prices. I tell you all this because it was very difficult for me to make a decision between MAC and PC and one of the draw backs was to have authorized support near my home.
PD: You can try to use your power book plugged in to the electricity with the AC adapter. You only have to be carefull with electric fluctuations so I recomend you tu use an UPS if you are going to work for long periods.
