When will US customers be able to downIoad season 3 of Southland. I saw season 3 available a cuple of weeks ago. I keep getting "the item you requested in not available in us stores".
When the owners of the distribution rights to the show provide/allow itunes to sell it.
Why was it listed as available on itunes a couple of weeks ago?
It could be any reason from there being something wrong with the download to the network pulling the season.
I have the season downloaded as it aired. It will probably come back as the new season starts next week.
Season 4 is available and updated weekly. Seems unlikely that distribution rights are the issue. Whats gives with Season 3??
Only the network can tell you that answer.
Most likely it is distribution rights, probably involving contractual issues with some talent that was only involved in Season 3. Season 3 isn't available in Amazon's Instant Video either, so there clearly is some sort of rights issue involved. What the specific issues are is something we have no way of knowing.
