My Macbook Pro has been with me for 11 months now. I haven't had any problems before. About a week ago,on my desktop screen, a message popped out but suddenly goes off in a second so I wasn't able to read what it was. It does that until now. I tried and tried to take a glimpse of it but it goes off too quick.
Is there any way of finding what that message is all about?

I get that as well, since I upgraded to Lion. I've looked in Console (Applications - Utilities - Console) but nothing leapt out at me. I've only just started looking into this so I'll keep my eye on Console and check the messages that appear there each time I notice it happen and see if I can discern a pattern. Suggest you do the same and maybe we can compare notes in a few days.
Alright. I will do the same. I think mine starts with " Do you...." then goes off too quick that I wasn't able to read all.
Bear in mind that what appears in Console won't necessarily be the same as what would appear in the on-screen error message, so what we need to do is look for correlations - e.g. every time the on-screen message pops up the same/similar messages appear in Console.
I will copy the Console logs and post it here and see if we get something out of it.

Hi Daryl, I think if you post this everytime it happens then this thread is going to get awfully cluttered. What I intend to do is just note the time when I see it happen then go through the logs in Console and see if I can match similar messages that occur at those times and report my results back here. Hopefully I'll be able to narrow it down to one, but if there are two or more that I narrow it down to then it will be valuable to compare my results with yours. You should also beware about posting directly from the logs, you've inadvertently posted your e-mail address!!! There may be other information that you'd want to keep confidential in the logs, so look out for that and don't just post the contents of the logs indiscriminately. Lets check back in a day or two and see what we've got, yeah?!

It's okay, don't worry about it - I was just concerned that having loads of posts like that would cloud the issue somewhat and make solving the problem harder rather than easier. By the way, what was your thinking behind it - maybe you have a better idea for approaching this logs diagosis business. I'm open to other ways of doing it.
I am not very good with Mac. The logs are pretty foreign to me. I booked an appointment to the Genius Bar but cancelled it because of an unexpected event.
I suspect that it might have something to do with the battery, that is baed on some of the exchanges of messages posted here in Apple Support.
