How to Unistall NetExtender

I installed the latest version of NetExtender last night, running on a MacBook pro with Lion, all up to date.

I have problems trying to connect to the remote Windows machine, and on the IT support guys suggestion, I deleted

this latest version of NetExtender and tried to install an older version. The older version wont install as it complains that a newer version

is installed.

I searched in the libraries and system folders and finally the whole HDD for anything with netextender or sonic in it, and found nothing.

So obviously netextende drops some files somewhere on the machine that I cannot find and these need to be removed before the

older version will install.

I did try re-installing the newer version, which installed ok, tried the "Uninstall when quitting" option in Netextender, but this didnt help either.

Also tried using AppZapper hoping that might detect these extra files, but it didnt either.

Does anyone know anything that may help me unistall this program?

Thanks in advance

Hey Kevin,

I had the same issue and found the trick:

sudo rm /private/var/db/receipts/com.sonicwall.NetExtender.bom
sudo rm /private/var/db/receipts/com.sonicwall.NetExtender.plist
sudo rm /etc/ppp/sslvpn.*

Execute these in your terminal and restart. You'll be able to install the older version afterwards.

I got it from http://www.seanlabrie.com/2010/mac-os-10-6-clients-unable-to-resolve-dns-on-net- extender-ssl-vpn/ - so credits to him.

Cheers,

JJ
