How can I draw lines on top of video inside of iMovie'11?

I have used Adobe Premier Pro CS5 and it was very easy to draw lines on top of video, and to add text. Is this even possible to do within iMovie? I have seen that there are some outside apps to do this, but that kind of takes away the simplicity of the whole thing.

I like how simple iMovie is compared to CS5, but need to be able to draw on the videos.

Thanks!!

Karsten Schlüter has posted on his blog a workaround for this. I would not call it simple, and it is definitely not as easy as built in. Basically you would create a still frame of the portion of the movie where you want to add the line. Then, in a photo editor like Photoshop, Pixelmator, or Acorn, you will add your lines or graphics to a different layer. You save this layer only as a png file. Then drag into iMovie as a cutaway.

That is the link. I cannot make it clickable from my iPad.
