iTunes keeps asking for my password twice each time I launch it!

Hello there guys.

I know it's probably not a real malfunction but it's nonetheless annoying. Each time I launch iTunes it asks for my iTunes account password, twice. Does anyone know why?

If I log out of the iTunes store it stops asking me but I didn't have to do that in the past.

It's still happening with iTunes 10.5.3 and I can't seem to get rid of it any other way than the one described above.

Is there something wrong with the preferences maybe?

Thanks for any tips.

Henning

Jason posted a reply to my question earlier referring me to an Apple support article:

iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases

Unfortunately he seemed to have deleted his post again. However. The trick explained in this article seems to have lifted the curse. iTunes is not prompting me for my password all the time anymore.

I want to thank Jason for his help 😉.

Cheers,

Henning
