I think the OP has already explained it all quite clearly. I was curious, though, about the
players in mid 2000 vintage cars don't like 80 minute CD-R
but I guess that's going to remain floating above the cold air, so I'm signing off.
iTunes. Create a Playlist. Drag MP3s. Burn as Audio CD.

I always save music as .aiff and only use mp3 for spoken word.
