I have dozens of MIDI files made in Vision 3.0.3. I thought MIDI was MIDI, and I could open them in Logic Express. I am able to open other MIDI files that are in Quicktime format--stuff I downloaded. But the Vision file icons are grayed out.
Don't save them as QT; export (or save) them as .mid (format 1). Er, that's assuming that you still have a version of Vision running on another computer... Do you?
If they're really SMF's then you can drop them into the arrange window.
If they're actually Vision documents, you might be sol. However, if there's a way to open an Opcode Vision document in Logic, I'd sure like to know about it.
