I was having the same problem too until last night. The solution is simple and it has t do with the ios. Here is what I did:

Setting

General

Acessibility

Assistive touch - turn it on.

Once you have it on and the black square / white dot appear tap on it, select Device, and turn the bell mute (crossed over). Your cna then get get back to the Assistive touch, turn the button on the left of your phone down (whicn would be then on mute), turn the assistive touch off and now my phone works.

I hope this will solve for you too. I can hardly believe that Apple had this bug on the new ios and do not know about it or are in that much denial I talked to a se ior advisor for days and took to the store too. The solution was not found in either case.

best luck.

One other suggestion. If you pull up the Mission Control pane from the bottom of the screen, you can see where the audio is going out. What you might see is "Dock Connector". If that is the case, there is some schmutz in your 30-pin connector port that is fooling the iPhone into thinking it is plugged into a docking station. Turn off your phone and get a paper clip and some canned air. Bend open the paper clip and run it around inside the port, freeing up dirt, lint, etc that the port has gathered from spending its life in your pocket. Then spray the canned air into the port to blow any debris you've freed up out of the port. Turn on your phone and you're probably getting sound and ringer control through the speakers again.

Hey Guys,

I had the same problem in my iPhone 4s, I tried every possible thing, tried updating, Iphone repairing softwares, etc.

But none of the worked because the problem is not software or firmware.

The problem is hardware. Because the phone must have been damaged by some liquid and so the phone thinks it in docked mode.

ℹSimple solution,

It's better to turn off the idevice first.

Take some quick drying liquid like thinner or ethanol.

Take a brush with long bristles.

Sink a part of the brush in the liquid and thoroughly brush the charging port.

Then take a hair dryer and dry it up.

And yea thank me when it's successful.... 😝🙂
